This book is a book that I would love to read because it combines real world events and places into a complex story line. I like that the author is a graduate of law school and has a degree in economics. This makes his story line plausible and possible which makes it all the more dramatic to read. I also liked that the author created such realistic characters.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting science fiction novel set in a world where global warming has become a major issue and in response to this issue the Solar Shield Project was launched. While these mirror satellites help slow down global warming, they also have a negative impact via the "shadows" that are causing issues for tourism. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

The future to which the book refers is not so far from us now. Damage to the environment and global warming hopefully will not be the end of the world as we know it. Great review.

I enjoy science fiction when the author is knowledgable enough about the topics in the book to be able to write in such a way as to make it seem realistic. This book looks to be the case and sounds interesting. I'm adding this to my reading list. Thank you for the informative review.

Sci-fi is a genre that appeals to me, and with fantasy elements just adds up to my taste. I'm glad to know that fact that it has a captivating plot and a great character development. Also, it's fascinating that it contains such details as lobbying activities and economics. I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I found the title quite catchy, as it seems to mirror the title of "Guardians of the Galaxy," except that the BOTD is more focused on Earth. The story sounds intriguing due to the themes of murder, corruption, romance, and politics being included. Congratulations to the author for Book of the Day! Also, thank you for making the book free.

Giving a realistic touch to a science-fiction novel is a rare talent in a genre overrun with impossibilities and possibilities. The character development is an added bonus in the #BOTD, and I look forward to sampling this story. Good review.

It sounds like this science-fiction novel really brings out the best in the genre. Not only is there an amazing plot, but the author has the economics and politics to back it up.

Thanks for the great review. It's amazing how many things we thought would be impossible in the future do really happen. And 2032 is not that far away. I remember the fear people felt about the year 2000 coming in, as though people didn't know that one day the year 2000 would be here. Perhaps we now have a chance to see possibilities happening if we don't change things in even less time.

This sci-fi set in 2032 seems to bring global warming as the main cause of damage in various places and the Solar Shield Project seems to help delaying those damages. Congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

This is one book that deserves a time for reading as it is purposely written to make us aware of the repercussions of global warming.Sometimes this type of books makes me more scared than entertained but then again it is a sad reality that we humans have to face. I hope the world has still future to hold for the generations to come.Congrats to the BOTD!
