😆 I really didn't know it was about animals. I thought the picture was...well, i dunno what I thought the picture was.
But it sounds like a great book.

Another book that reminds me of the joys of reading in my younger years! I do like the sound of this one. And I appreciate your comment encouraging parents or caregivers to screen the book first. I did a lot of independent reading as a child, and though I cannot remember the name of the book or the author, I do remember the experience
of reading a YA novel that I enjoyed, but that also gave me nightmares for weeks... Splendid review! Thanks.

It sounds like a great book for young readers that are beginning to wander into the fantasy genre. I like the creativity of the author and the switch between character's perspectives. Thank you for the recommendation!
