Having LGBT characters but not addressing them explicitly is the best way to normalize them. Judging from your review and reply, I would say this is the best way to write such characters. Most of the time such characters' entire existence is confined to their sexual orientation. It's nice to see that it's not the case here. The book sounds very interesting. I was hoping to know a bit more about the kind of magical world this has. Anyway, I hope the errors won't hamper the reading much. Great review!

Interesting review. I consider LGBT+ representation to be a thing worth mentioning but certainly it's not something to dwell on more than is necessary. Did the author presented the LGBT+ community well? Hopefully, yes. Thank you for your review. 👍

Thank you for the review. I love books that are action packed and this sounds like a good fit for me. You mentioned that there were a lot of different characters and things sometimes weren't told in chronological order. With that being said, I am more intrigued to read the book. Authors intentionally do this to make a reader have to really put themselves into the plot. I plan to read this book soon.

I'm impressed that you found the ending to be satisfying. Oftentimes, I have a hard time finding books whose ending I actually enjoy. Now I am curious and may consider giving this book a read, the only difficulty I see here is the complexity of the plot and large cast of characters. I think I will try to read some more entry level Epic Fantasies before trying this book.

This seems like one very rich fantasy book intertwined with numerous elements. I love the mythology, the magic, the interesting and skillful characters in the stories and I wonder how everything is actually incorporated here. I was intrigued by everything you mentioned and the fact that there is a lot of information, but still this is the first book in the series!

The cover of the book along with women thieves' as protagonists gives a Catwoman vibe to me. The fast action and jump-in-narrative technique might be difficult to keep pace up with but I am all for it if the ending makes up for all of that as you promise.Great review!
