I understand. Thanks for the comment, though. Hope you find something to your liking.Janelle Juncos wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 22:15 Oof. Seems like the author missed the mark in a couple places. Bad editing, bad dialogue and an iffy plot... I think I'll pass. Thanks for the review. Well done!

Yes, if you want to know exactly how to skin a bear, this is the book for you. Otherwise, you might just want to skip it.Dentarthurdent wrote: ↑20 Apr 2019, 02:11 The egregious descriptions, like that of how Jameson prepared the bear is a bit too much. If that's an example on what to expect from the book, it's all the reason I need to stay away from it. Thanks for the descriptive review; I like how well you've explained the book's shortcomings that led to your rating.

I think the author could have something good here, but some of the hunting references should be removed. The characters need to be a bit more consistent as well. Thanks so much for your comment.Prisallen wrote: ↑23 Apr 2019, 08:08 I hate to think of a disaster like this bringing out the bad in people, but, unfortunately, it does seem to do that. I agree with you that too many descriptions can slow the story down. It can be a fine line between too much and not enough. Also, it's too bad about the errors in the book. Hopefully those will be fixed. Thanks for a great review!
