The lesson on human nature is also the biggest lesson I took away from the book. Each and every person is unique and there is no way to tell how a person will respond or react to different sets of circumstances.

Yes. Our capability to feel emotions makes us act on impulse and not on logic all the time.

I think nature should be respected like it respects us! Going against the laws of nature makes its instincts angry and the results might be worse. So lets take care of nature so as it can replicate it to us.

Relationships. In the midst of searching for Uncle Randall Grant communicates with wolves well and also had sex with Irina and connected well with his team members.

Every human is a story for itself. We have an explosive nature, and we cannot predict our actions.

The biggest lesson from the book was that humans are unpredictable and that they will always follow their instincts and will act according to what please them.

It's amazing how human nature is capable of so much emotion and driven by motives. Afterall, we are human beings in this beautiful yet mysterious world.
Happy reading,

I learned how unpredictable humans can be. Most times our impulses and emotions override logical reasoning, and we just act in an unexpected way.

The lesson inferred can be that there is no achievement without hardship. For Grant to find his uncle, he has to go through many obstacles from vicious beasts to Irina.

I am with you on the alcohol abuse is a serious problem and I like how this book draws our attention to it.

Nature deserves its respect is a great lesson I learnt from this science fiction novel. People don't understand it's importance but it deserves to be cared for.

During these last days, I've been seeing a lot of this in different books, but I think that it is good to say that one of the lessons that can be inferred is how we react towards nature. Humans and nature do not have to be two poles. These things include a lot of mystery and adventure in the process. Maybe one of the biggest lessons I have been learning from this topic is that there needs to be a process of self-discovery and self-acknolewdge in order to be able to change and to understand that nature is not an enemy, but that it is wild and does not answer to our human laws. Then, and only then, can we coexist in better ways. Maybe this can only be achieved when, as in the book, humans are put face to face with a lot of their inner demons, such as life in community in the wilderness, alcohol and other substances, sex, trust/distrust, lies, and more. We have to face all of this in order to be able to overcome our flaws.

That "useful" people still haven't managed to find a way to not be victimized by others - some people are attracted to "stabilizers", or "alphas". Irina initially seems all right but then, when she ought to be strong, she kind of acts like an idiot, being more of a burden. As she was presented by the author, anyways. I'm mostly level-headed when I need to be so it's frustrating. I don't want to blame men for this, people who do and are capable of not doing much being allowed to be a burden, but well, maybe kind of? In times of emergencies, it can be devastating.
