It's important to look at the time and society a narrative is set in. Using modern metrics to gauge topics like this often results in errors. I detected no misogyny in how the book is written. Whether there is misogyny in Gods choice is a question I feel ill equipped to handle.

I don’t think the book itself is misogynistic, its just retelling a story. The Bible yes, it is, but we also have to consider the time when it was written.

Not in the way you see it, Eve didn't necessarily gave up her free will, she still had it, but had the duty of being more submissive to Adam.

I think God is fair and Just what ever punishment he gave them was commensurate with the sin they committed. I do not think Eve punishment was more severe neither was Adams.

This book is laced with misogyny, there's a very "boys will be boys" atmosphere about it. Like how Eve's emotions were attributed to her being female, as opposed to them just being emotions. These were the first people, obviously there was no misogyny back then but the author sti managed to incorporate something that only came to be after man started to deviate from God
I'm here for a good time, not a long time. Yolo!

I believe that the term misogyny does not apply to this book. There are no actions that I would interpret as being prejudice against women. The women in this book were not written off as weak or inferior, they were simply given a different job then men. And if you think about it, Adam had the harder punishment. He was tasked as the provider and breadwinner for the family, while Eve did not lose her free will but she was cursed with child birth pain and relying on men to provide for her. In this context Adam not only has to provide for Eve but for all the children she would have, which was not easy because he was the first to pioneer and the lands were not easy to maintain. Although Eve desired Adam after the curse, she desired him before the curse, which is seen in the garden of Eden as she sought Adam to eat the fruit with her because she desired him even then.

Truth be told, there were seemingly marginalization and misogyny in the Bible, but we cannot question God. And I believe he knows why everything happens.

Eve was the one who committed most of the offense. I feel that she deserved all she got and more.

Misogyny is an huge word, I don't think Eve was giving up her free will per say and Adam's punishment too is intense.

The term misogyny is quite a lot, I don't think Eve's punishment is about misogyny at all.

There is no misogyny whatsoever. I didn't know why I had the uncanny sense that such a question would be raised. Adam and Eve got their due punishment.
