I absolutely loved the book! It alludes to the Bible but in a more fictional way. Although people who have good understanding of the Bible might find it intriguing but to me it's a mind blower. i would give the book a full score.

I did not get to read this book but from the discussions and reviews that I read about this one makes me curious. It does sound like an engaging one.

The book is simply amazing! It alludes to the Bible in a more fictional way. Although this might be disturbing to Christians with good knowledge of the Bible. To me the additional information makes it a mind blower.

This is surely an epic book. Since i enjoy books that alludes to the Bible , this book had a lot of impact in me. However, readers who have better understanding of the Bible might disagree with this book.

While the plot stays true to the Bible, the authors imagination is also mixed in along with it. I thought it was a great book.

Honestly I know a lot of non-religious people who would be interested in reading this even though they don't partake in any religious practices. :D

As a teenager, when we read the story of Abel, i can't help but to wonder what happened next. I have always felt that there is a vacuum in that account, and Micheal Tieman has given a wonderful attempt in filling that gap. His illustrative, imaginative and interesting recount of biblical tales is intriguing. He tries to bring to life the experiences, actions and reactions of the characters, what informed their decisions while allowing the readers to see through their motive. The book is quite interesting and entertaining for Christians and teenage readers, with a 3 out of 4 rate.

I don't like historical fiction. I am sure that the author did a superb job at retelling this story, but I think the Bible itself and Bible stories should stay the way they are.

This book sounds promising and like it could offer new perspectives to an old tale. I can't wait to add it to my list!!

It brings it's own take while keeping the serious tone of the original texts that is really eye opening and entertaining.

The book fills up the details that was left out by the bible. It was a really great read and I rate it a four out of four.

I had a hard time getting the book, couldn't get it from Amazon, but you can download it in a special format under today's BOTD link, and there is information available on how to get the book in the folder you're usually reading from (phone, Kindle...).

This is a really helpful addition. I'm definitely trying this out.

I am yet to get my hands on this book, but my interest is definitely piqued as I do enjoy it when a writer personalises the Bible and makes it more tangible to others who may not be terribly familiar with it.

All these positive reviews have made me even more interested in reading the book. However, I have to ask: Is it religious or fictional (even though some might not differentiate the two).
