It just reminded me of the precious gift of grace that God has given to me. And that calls for praise and gratitude to Him.

God rains down grace on all mankind. He gave us the beauty and wonders of nature that we see each and every day. He gives us near misses when accidents are heading our way. He often brings us the right thing just in time. And He also gave us an innate conscience to know right from wrong. All these things are common graces, and everyone born on the earth has the benefit of them because God so loved the world and that calls for praise for him. 🌸

This book taught me to recognize the hopelessness in myself much faster. Hopelessness may be a part of life, but if we learn to hit our knees and cry out to our Lord regarding many situations, sooner rather than later, the burden of the hopelessness or the crisis can be surrendered to Jesus and won’t take such a toll on us. The lesson for me is to stop trying to fix everything myself and to maintain a close walk with Jesus. “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:30.

Jane's story teaches me to be persistent and patient for a breakthrough. Suffering is only temporary.

We'll stumble and we'll stray away from God. We don't deserve God's grace but when we align ourselves back to God, He is already there waiting to welcome us back.

I am learning yet again that , he challenges us, gives us strength if we just let him.
He never gives us more than we can handle. A wonderful reminder of his love for us and those in our life and how he put them there.

I "loved" reading about all these other people's experiences, and learning of their perseverance and God's grace. We are often boxed in our own problems and world that we need to reminded of other sufferings too or even more than us. And that there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel, as they say. Nothing is impossible to Lord. Don't lose faith and stay strong.
This book is filled with hope, and I wouldn't call it a lesson more a reminder.
you have captured the intention of the book beautifully.

I learnt that our faith will be tested for sure! But that sticking to God in these testing periods rewards you with a crown of glory through Christ Jesus.
