I agree. Hillary was also the most relatable character in the story. I actually like her whole family, but Hillary especially is my favorite.

While most people would go for Claire, I actually loved Hillary's character. The perfect show of how we should deal with disappointments and failure

My favorite character is Hillary. Her resilience in her experiences made me keep wondering how strong she was. Her life struggles made me realize that all is possible irrespective of the odds.

Everyone in the story was written beautifully, however, my favourite, though not by far, was Ed. He was always there trying to be the best he could, whether it was being a dad, wife or friend. He was a constant source of comfort in the story, and the dad everyone wished they had. He also seemed to ground his wife and bring out the best in her.

While I didn't always agree with the decisions she made in the novel, Hillary is definitely my favorite character. Getting to understand her in a deeper way through her Irish heritage was enjoyable. Being the protagonist of a series with three installations gives so many opportunities for character development. Her love for her family alongside her determination makes her such a strong woman who I hope to learn more about in future sequels.
