It is great to see a book that has a unique quality as this. I am curious to find out how Jim finally got involved in the case as his company was looking to sign a contract with the football club. I like character-driven books and so I will be giving this book a try.

The one aspect about this book I like is the hope that Jimmy will eventually get over the alcoholism through attending the therapy sessions. Otherwise, Izzy's philandering ways is cheap and an affront to her marriage.

Thanks for the review, it is quite elaborated and i am ready to believe that the story attractive. I am very eager to read the story, if it is really absorbing and to find about the alluring character of IZZY, perhaps the only two things tempting me to read this book.

What I understood from the review is that the book is about women empowerment. 41 years old Izzy leaves her husband and tries to make a living on his own. The story seems motivational.

The most captivating thing about the book, as the reviewer described, is Izzy's character. She is not a stuck-up person, absorbed in her pathetic life with a drunkard husband. She came out of it to do something better in life. And later she meets with Sean. I really like character-driven novel and this one made to my must-read list.

I love a book that totally immerses the reader with a captivating story line right from the start! What would come of the investigations that Sean is conducting? Will Jim's had be caught in the cookie jar as far as allegations of financial football corruption is concerned? Will Izzy manage to straighten out her life and find reprieve from her miserable life due to her husbands alcoholism? Kudos on this wonderful review!

I love that the writing moves the plot along a steady pace. It's one of the feature in a book that makes the reader be absorbed in reading. Great review, thank you.

Through your review, the novel seems to contain a little bit of romance which is my favourite genre. I wonder what came of Izzy's decision for being infatuated with Sean while still married to Jim. Intriguing review.

I sampled the book on Amazon. It is an interesting contemporary fiction. Keddie Hughes does a good job in portraying the characters and the situations. The lead character Izzy is entangled in a life where she has to deal with her alcoholic husband Jim and her other social responsibilities. The story is based in Glasgow, Scotland and has an important element of the football club Glasgow Rangers in the story. A well-written novel and is quite engaging as mentioned by Bookowlie in the review. Cheers :) :)
