Gato's situation is really serious. I see it as temptation and a trial. I've not read this book but I hope things will get better. Thanks for this insightful review.

well the book is breathtaking and comic In some way The sense that at middle age you still an idealist is fun to read as well as going notch higher to prove you are not dead. The first person narrative breathes life into this book. Its for sure my next book to read. 4 Star

I enjoy character driven stories and one about a veteran going through a rough patch and being helped through it by unlikely strangers appeals to me.

Lovely review. With what is happening this days with immigration problems, i would say i am looking forward to reading this book. The part where the main character is declared dead caught my attention more.

Thanks for the great review. The book touches on immigrants which is a current issue in our world. I am curious to read it.

The daily life of the inmigrant people, with seeing it one is immersed in history, I want to read the full version, soon.
