I would NOT recommend this book for adolescents. Themes like illegal drugs, wanton sex, etc are prevalent in the book.

Ok, that's good to know! I just assumed by the book's description that it was intended for teenagers!

I looove how descriptive and articulate your review is. I had only read the sample but now I can't wait to purchase the book and read the whole story, thanks to you. I like the fact that Darwin I grows through challenges and learns that life is not as it seems because it pretty much applies to our lives today.

Thank you, CatIn Thehat.

I wasn't sure about reviewing this book, based on the short description. However, your review makes me more at ease to read it. I already read McDowell by Coles, and that was the thing that most convinced me to try this one. Combined with your review, I shall undertake it. Thanks.

I've just picked this book to review - I see the first review was back in 2017!

Well, we'll see how it goes. I've got some travel to do and I'll be reading it then. After that, I'll come back and read this review, having done my review, clearly. :)

I've never read anything by Coles. Looking forward to starting.

As good as this review is, I can't help but disagree with you on something that you mentioned in this review. Luther is not Darwin's uncle. He is Darwin's cousin. Besides this, I think both the review and the book is great.

This sounds like an intense and interesting book. Thank you for mentioning that there is strong character development. It's one of the things i appreciate most in a novel.
