Sounds like a good drama with just the right amount of excitement to keep things interesting. Well-written review!!

A great review, exhaustive and honest. The book is a realistic fiction other than a fantasy. Trust takes time, characters grow through the ups and downs, nothing happens overnight. Life is not what it seems, relationships are complex, yet one must make it through. Indeed we are all guardians of deceit, aren't we?

I have read a sample of the book and now it's review and beyond convinced that it's going to be a worthy read. Nice review.

Great review, the complexities of human relationships that you describe really make me want to read the book. Darwin was lucky to have people other than Luther in and around the household.

This review makes me want to find out the things that you hint at in the book. I like how you dont completely give away the entire story.

From the given first and second chapter of this book Guardian of Deceit by Willam H. Cole hooks you in by giving you a clear visualization of family life, by introducing character backround. Cole also leave the reader with a foreshadowing since and deep interest wondering what happens next.

I enjoyed both the book sample and this review of the book. This is definitely not my genre, so I thought I'd be reading it purely out of duty (being new, I want to read them all... :), but Darwin's story had caught me before they even got off the plane, and I definitely would want to read more than we got. I agree that I look for flaws, and I did find a few, but wow, when you're on a ride like that, you're not going to argue about the color of the seatbelt. Any book that can make me feel an emotion - like I feel protectiveness for Darwin -in that few a pages deserves the 4 stars the reviewer gave it.

This book sounds interesting, if a little different than what I typically read. If I had fewer books in line to be read, I might have been more interested in reading it. I think I will pass on this one at this time, though.

Great to see a character-based novel. Too many books get really sidetracked trying to make the characters fit the plot when really it should be the other way around. Thanks for the comprehensive review!

Very nice review. It sounds like a very well-written book but not necessarily my my cup of tea.

The story seems interesting and I am curious as to why Darwin is going to live in a supply closet when it is obvious he and his family have money.

Curiosity killed the cat, so I will be checking into the book.

I think the review is really good. I feel that the story was really realistic and related to things people actually experience in our everyday lives. For instance, encountering people who want things done their way and not yours. I really thought the book would be good and would like to read all of it. Thanks for the review.
