I have to be honest, the cover alone is not appealing at all. I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but sometimes it needs to be said that the cover is what first draws a reader to a book. At least it does for me. I shouldn't speak for everybody. However, I read this review and I'm completely curious about the book. It sounds like there's a lot of hope and growth and determination. I'll pick up a copy when I can and read it.

Great review. So far I really like this book. I like that it is so easily related to by many. The style seems to flow and put you there watching the story unfold.

Finally, a book that realizes romance doesn't happen overnight! I'm not sure it's close enough to my genre to buy it, but I might track down a copy at the library. Thanks for a great review!

Finally an appropriate 4 out of 4 rating. The reviewer said there is no editing mistakes. The review didn’t do much to capture my inter though, but the sample had me hooked from the first line.

It's not a story I normally would read, but with the sample and book review it sounds like a great book. Great review, I look forward to reading the rest of the book.

I don't particularly dislike coming-of-age stories, so I could check this one out. However, I already have too many books on my to-read list, so I highly doubt it. Regardless, thank you for the review.

I don't like books about coming of age, but I will still read the sample. Thanks for a great review, sounds like a great book for those who like this genre.

A fictional story about family life, friendships, and relationships. Indeed, this book is interesting and exciting.

Sounds like there are life lessons to be learned from this book in addition to learning about relationships. I read the sample and enjoyed the writing style. It seemed very readable. I'm going to have to put this one on my Want to read shelf!

I got disappointed when the sample ended abruptly, I wanted more. Your review just proves my initial reaction of attachment to the book. I agree with you that sometimes the people we meet in unexpected places do have a great impact on our lives. This is an epic narrative. Darwin's life proves that our experiences mold us into who we are or who we become. I love the realism this book portrays. Thank you for your genuine and heartfelt review, I enjoyed it. I would definitely read this one, all because of your review.

From the sample and the snippets you gave in your review, Guardian of Deceit sounds like a worthwhile read. What caught my attention was when you mentioned that the relationships in the story develop in an authentic manner. That’s very important. For readers who enjoy getting lost in a book, the events need to unfold in a believable way. It seems this title is true to the coming-of-age genre, and for that reason, it’s going on my “Want to Read” shelf. Thanks for sharing!
