Tall Tales for Travellers by MichaelRoe is a collection of stories about politics, science, careers, and travel.

There are eighteen short stories. The story starts with a nineteen-year-old boy who needed a job and got one at a delivery company. There, he met an experienced, smart boss who taught him a smart way to go about the job, especially how to make more money. It continued with the story of a young British chartered accountant, assigned to the Middle East to give a report on a native's business, which turned out to be difficult for the young fella. "Theatre Heaven" is also one of the stories that talks about James Hurst, an engineer who decided to travel outside of the UK for a new challenge and experience. However, while in Sudan, where he travelled, life wasn't as he expected it to be until an intervention from a colleague. How did he help?

Tall Tales for Travellers by MichaelRoe is a book that could be read by both young and adult readers. The author had been to many countries, and he wrote this book to aid travellers, especially those travelling by air. Travellers could read it when they are waiting for their flights or when they are already on a flight.

One thing I love about this book is the vast knowledge and experience of the author. Having travelled to so many countries, he seems to know much about these countries, especially their cultures and traditions. I was able to understand much about a particular country from this book alone. I believe this is not just a book meant only for company or entertainment; it is also laced with historical and educational facts that every reader would benefit from.

Another aspect I love about this work is that the author touched on some delicate life issues, issues ranging from marriages, education, careers, travel, hustles, and so on. This was really fun to read because I could relate to most of the stories. Also, each story could be read as a standalone, which means one could start reading from any page or chapter.

A character I love from one of the stories is Bill. Bill is a man who understands his job and does it diligently. With his experience and diligence, he knows how to get more from what he does. This is a trait I learned a lot from.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. The book was exceptionally edited because I found no errors. For these reasons, I would give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to travellers who intend to embark on a long journey.

I love reading books with many short stories. It has a way of keeping absorbed in a book. I would want to know more about your favourite character, Bill.
