From the review, the book seems very catchy with its dramatic events. I personally feel like Geena has been surrounded by a shakey reality; lost her father, her mom was a prostitute, her step brother was institutionalized due to aggressiveness. Alot of flaws in the characters made the book quite fascinating.

Crime novels with time jumps can be confusing and frustrating, but at the end, when all the pieces fall into place, it's all satisfying. This sounds like a good read, and I'm interested in reading about the complex family relationships in the book.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story about how multiple interrelated people expose their dark pasta including a woman who discovers that her father has died, a family friend is going away and an adopted brother who was institutionalized. These secrets include murder and revenge. It might be worth a second look. Well done.
