While currently going through a separation and soon to be divorced, this book seems intriguing and depressing to me at the same time. While I love to read, this could hit home in a good or bad way and possibly both. Never hurts to read on another persons experience whether it be fact or fiction. I think I'll give it a try.

I Love this story . It's a true story of what women go through in life . But women need to be strong and work hard to support them self and their kids . Every women must love them self first before falling in love with someone. 🙂

It's really sad when long marriage just falls apart. I have never read a book like this one so I am putting it on my list althought I am quite young and inexperienced about that theme. Really nice review!

Sounds like an interesting book, though I wouldn't agree that it is suitable for only 'middle aged' women, since women of all ages have to deal with such problems- younger and older, and I guess it would be an interest to those with an interest in the subject.
It does sound a little negative but perhaps the theme of marriage and it's deconatruction is relevant to many people - married or not, especially in our times
Reading gives us somewhere to go when we have to stay where we are

I can't relate to this book because I'm not close to being middle-aged, neither am I married. But I do love the idea of people not conforming to society's gender roles. I would love to read this. Nice review!

This is not my genre.. But your review was really great. I can consider reading this one. It might give me better understanding about the modern day challenges faced by women.

The book has a very strong beginning, where I immediately felt for Jess when she expects a lovely Saturday morning with her husband, and Arthur seems upset for no reason. Thanks for your review.

'A better next' seems to be an intriguing book. It looks like a story about deconstructing a marriage and seeing how even minute actions can cause great damage. I am excited to read the book. Thanks for your amazing review.

Thanks for the review. I believe the story will give a glimpse of the unhappy side of marriage. Everyone tends to only show the good side on social media and it will be a nice change of pace to read something that showcases the truth and not so rosy side of marriage.

:D What a thorough review! You did well. Though the book is not something I'd look forward to as i am not in the marital world yet. The book has is aimed at the married couples and especially women who have to bear all the weight in their marriages and I'm sure your review will lead help lead to that exposure. Nice Job.

Thanks for the review. The book communicated to a lot of women under the pressure of life, trying to juggle many things and battling with work-life balance.

The emotional aspects of a divorced woman, and the deconstruction of her marriage, beautifully described in this novel.
