Helene_2008 wrote: 30 Sep 2019, 19:37 Sounds like a really interesting book. I just finished a book about the death of a young person in a small town. It's interesting to see how people handle it and everyone wants someone to blame. Thank you for the review.
Grief and blame are heavy burdens. The dynamic of a small town adds intrigue to the story. I appreciate your comments.

The book does touch on emotional subjects, but it is so well written that you will not be able to walk away once you start reading! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

It is especially painful when you wanted to give the book a four! It is still a worthy and engrossing read. Hope you have a chance to read it. Thanks for your comments.

Tomah wrote: 01 Oct 2019, 11:39 Confronting one's past and growing past traumas is never an easy thing to do, which is why it's such a rich subject in fiction. It's too bad about the errors, but I'm willing to disregard them if the novel is as good as it sounds. Thanks for the review!
I enjoyed how the author developed the theme of how running away from the past affects our present. It is an engrossing read. Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by.

What a poignant book this novel seems to be! I'm afraid that the death of her brother and the turmoil it caused would leave me down. It does seem like a wonderful book, however. Thanks for a great review, as always!
