The fact about New Zealand intrigued me too. It's strange as well as surprising to know that there aren't any predators there.

I was amazed by the vending machines in japan- a nice addition to the story to be learning new things the whole time!

A commandment of the man's mission charter, I mean they have a charter haha that stipulated, that he who whines the loudest, wears the pink bracelet

I do agree! I'm an English trainer to Japanese students, and for a girl in a tropical country, their vending machines are way too awesome!!
Happy reading,

I, for example, marveled that there are no wild animals that can kill humans in New Zealand. The northern lights were also a wonder.

Did you also find some intetesting fun facts?

I liked various aspects of the journey. I liked the part about Japan and its vending machine. There's also the mention of Australia's and New Zealand's environment, which is quite surprising that they are quite near, yet is too different.
Sharing is caring. :greetings-wavingyellow:

I've a college degree in zoology (animal sciences) and yet was unfamiliar with this fact! All in all, got to learn quite a bit about a lot of different places all across the world!

Yeah, I was surprised about that. I loved the fan facts. The bullfight in Spain. I never really understood it but man mission explained the concept of man vs beast. I still have trouble accepting it, but now I know why the people there love it so much.

The vending machine in Japan actually intrigued me. I have heard about the New Zealand facts but this book opened me to more knowledge on that.

I also liked the fact about New Zealand not having any animals that can kill people. I did wonder, however, in the "cow episode" if there might be a bull lurking in the mix.

It was interesting to find out that Kava juice can be used as a mild narcotic.
