I liked the Otter Trail and Kruger National Park, South Africa Man mission the most. The author explained the scene with a leopard very well, and they encounter them with other animals. He described the scene, nature and animals very well.

Yes I agree! The place description made it sound so lovely and I'd quite like to be out on the water doing some island hopping!

Has to be mission 2 Japan. It was pretty short but the most entertaining. What the old man told him stayed with him years later.

The very first man mission in New Zealand when they come across the drug dealers. It was really funny.

It's Japan for me. I'd definitely love biking throughout the countryside.

I thought it was hilarious that the protagonist had to hang out with and ride back with drug dealers who ended up being rather decent about the whole ordeal. It reminds me of the film, "The Suicide Kings" when a group of young, wealthy professionals decide to kidnap a supposed gangster, only in reverse. And, like the aforementioned movie, it is the "bad guy" (or guys) who end up giving advice to the nice guy. How in the world did Sam know that he would make it back in one piece? Or, like a strange rendition of Leo Tolstoy's short story, "Master and Man" combined with the lyrics "...indulging in my self-defeat..." from the song "Steal My Sunshine" by the band Len, to name a few descriptions of the human rendition of the animal act of vulnerably exposing ones underbelly. Or, an alternate definition or form of what stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld refers to as "...the involuntary luge."
"...I'd discuss the holy books with the learned man...and that would be the sweetest thing of all...would it foil some vast, eternal plan..." Hamick Fiddler on the Roof

Which "man mission" did you like or would enjoy doing the most, and why? For me, it was chasing the Icelandic Northern lights. It's something I could see myself attempting and enjoying.
What about you?
I think that was the same for me too. I've always heard about the northern lights and hopefully one day, I'll get to see it.

As someone who is hugely fascinated by the Japanese culture and way of life, the Tokyo trip was the most fascinating one for me!

Vietnam is the most memorable for me not so much because of the mission itself but because sadly his marriage finally imploded whilst he was there.

My favorite mission was their first mission where ethyn broke his leg and had to go back in home with weed smugglers. The whole scene made me laugh

I liked the first part of their adventure when they were in the camp and they found out that the unusual noise outside was a company of cows and herders. It was very funny.

The first Man Mission was humorous, particularly when Sam and the narrator froze and were struggling to fight the ferocious beasts whose eyes were glued on them. I had to laugh when they discovered they were preparing to fight or be eaten by cows. Who fights using a can of beans anyway?

I loved the man mission in Iceland most. That ice-climbing was fascinating.

My favorite one is when they biked in Japan from Tokyo to Niigata. It was amazing, adventurous, and hilarious and we get to know more places there. The best part is they even started to do their new rituals that are sumo fighting. Kayaking comes next because we get to have Daniel and later on their next man mission, Alec joined too.
