Holiday/Winter Based Book Discussion

Post by Heidi M Simone »

During this festive month, let's discuss books that are either holiday-based or winter-based.

So grab a warm drink and join in on this month's discussion!
:coffee1-smiley: :occasion-xmas:

- What book did you read?
- Was it a holiday-based one or a winter-based book?
- Were there other genres woven into the text? If so, which one(s)?
- Share your overall impressions and rating of the book you read.

As always, let's have fun and enjoy a month filled with cheer and books!

I'm reading The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith.

It is set in winter and actually takes place over Christmas.

I've been trying to find a copy of this for some time (I keep losing my copies!). It's always a toss up because I have to have a copy with specific illustrations, but I finally got one! :D

Is that the book the Disney animated movie was based on? Or is that something completely different?

I'm glad that you were able to find one that has the illustrations you enjoy! :)

I still love it, so much.

I enjoy Debbie Macombers holiday books. They usually have romance woven in as well.

I enjoyed reading A Baxter Family Christmas by Karen Kingsbury this past Christmas season. I love her books and this goes along with an entire series of books that I have enjoyed by her.
