Ferdinand_otieno wrote: 01 Dec 2019, 03:26 The author wrote many interesting and varied characters in the story. For me, I liked Steve Spalding as a character. I liked his patriotism and bravery in facing the terrorism threat. I also loved his growth throughout the story, especially his interaction with Sharon.
Who was your favorite character in the story and why?
Steve was my faovirte character too! I loved his personality. I saw him as sort of a comic relief for the group.

Steve was my favourite character from this book. Somehow, I liked his character portrayal, and I kept looking forward to his character through the entire story.

I loved Steve Spalding! He seems very sarcastic and rebellious compared to the rest of the book. If Steve gets a book in which he is a main character, I would not hesitate to read it! :)

Sharon!
Her strong will and her funny banter with Steve were my favorite parts of the novel. Although I also admire Kim Jung Lo’s courage, although he's not a fully developed character.

I feel like the character development in this book was not solid enough. I don't have any favorites as they all had individual roles to play to make a good read
We will have our ups and downs, regardless of who we are. When we fall, we peel ourselves off the asphalt and get back up. If we need to cry, then we cry. And when we’re ready, we get back up and move forward again.

Yes!! I think Steve seemed like more of a main character than the actual main characters.

My favourite character is Steve Spalding too. He plays a crucial role and he is so brave even in the midst of terrorism.

I also liked Steve in the story. I thought his character was the best developed and most likable. I also liked Su-jin. I wish that the author had continued more into her story-line. She is a big character in the beginning but then fades into the background.

It sounds odd, but I found the nuclear terrorist to be the most fun to read about.

I liked Steve the most. It seems the author did too. He is the character that stood out by his bravery and witty comments. His personality resonates the most with me, being the smart ass of the group.

None of them really. I didn't care for any of the characters and didn't connect with them.

None of the characters were developed enough to really connect with or appreciate... but if I had to choose a "favorite" I would have to say Kim Jung Lo. He overcame the biggest obstacles and escaped to live happily on a farm.

I like kelly, she did not have anything to do with being a cop or the Government or any of the training that the others had, and she was supposed to be on her honeymoon. And she was willing to help save the world like the others.

I am currently reading the book but I have felt into love with Steve even before I finish reading the book... I think he has his own unique personality, courage and boldness

The author really did a great job in the building of each character, but Steve seems to get my attention. His courage and development put an icing to the cake.
