Technology has been a very useful and helpful thing from the beginning, but its based on what people use it for.

The technology and the interview was the only believable part of this book. There are many adverse effects of technologies and we will keep on facing adversities.

Based on my perception on modern technology, technology can be both a blessing and dangerous. It depends on how we the users decided to use it. One cannot overemphasized the uncountable benefits of technology.

I don’t think that technology in itself is evil. The evil comes in how some want to use it for evil purposes. Just like anything else it’s all in how it’s used. I would never even think of using such advances as some do.

Technology is a blessing to us. Despite it the fact that technology can threaten life in the universe, it can't be a reason why we should put wrong impressions on it

We cannot argue the numerous benefits of technology. I will say every invention can be used for both negative and positive purpose depending on who is using it.

There would always be a flip side to everything that is discovered. The main point should be on its overall value to us and I believe it’s value is undeniable. So though technology has it’s downsides, it’s importance and value can’t be ignored.

The interview was one aspect of the book that struck me, I fear if Dr Peter was right

Just like everything in life, technology has it's good and bad sides, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives. If technology will cause any disaster to man, then this disaater can be attributed to man and not technology because it is man's use of technology that determines the outcome.

Firstly I found the interview so lengthy and unnecessary. However, the benefit of technology to humanity can not be over emphasized. Technology can both be good and bad depending on the intention of the user or inventors.

away from us.
I think I watched way too many doomsday movies and they all are scary to me. But more I read about technology it seems we are getting there.

It is said that every thing that has an advantage, has a disadvantage. This saying also related to technology. I believe all what was discussed in the book was true although, there are more positive impact of technology.

But based on the sentiments shared in the interview between Henry and Dr. Peter it sounds like we have been exposed to danger. Do you think Dr. Peter's ideas about the dangers of technology might be a reality today? Or what's your take about the interview?
I think it's a good way of introducing readers to the idea that we should be careful of the future. It's possible that our technology might fail one day because of a solar flare, and not everyone knows that. People should be more aware that this can happen, and should be prepared. A lot of our infrastructure would be useless and might cause a panic. It's important that we pay attention to these dangers.
