The trailer was overall very well done. I loved the visuals, but I agree that the voice was somewhat creepy. However, I do think this is kind of fitting considering the tone of some parts of the novel.

The illustrations are great and they are almost perfectly matched with the words. But personally, I couldn't associate the mysterious soundtrack from the trailer with my reading experience. Somehow, it didn't resonate with me. I must admit that, as an overall, the book's trailer is quite appealing and the creepy voice kind of gives this intriguing element.

The trailer seemed to make clear the premise of the story with the illustrations from the story. I guess I’m not impressed, and maybe I am the wrong demographic for this story. It’s just not resonating with me. I know there have been comments that it is similar to Harry Potter, but why not be something new? I am going to finish it. I’m just hoping I get to a point where I’m liking it. The trailer was okay but not jaw dropping.
I was the same way. I struggled with the book the whole way. I'm not sure the youtube trailer really did much to help that. While it compares to Harry Potter, it doesn't have the same amount of world-building the Harry Potter series did.

I somehow did not find the voice creepy at all. To me, it sounded almost too soothing. As to illustrations, some of them (in the trailer itself) made little sense - like the one with buildings, and one person climbing up one of them... Still, in my opinion, the trailer itself had too much information, it could have ended with the sentence where Will and Echoland boy set to solve the mystery. Afterwards - I barely remember what it was about... Some castle, lake, some old lady...It lost my attention.

I have just watched it and I agree it's a bit creepy. But this book can make a great movie nevertheless.

I don't think the voice is appropriate for the genre; it isn't creepy at all, really kind of silly. I like the images but I think the trailer is too long. It goes into way too much detail about the story. I expect a bookl trailer to be more like a quick "elevator" pitch.

It definitely felt like the narrator was going for a horror story vibe, which worked until it go to the section about Will going to Echoland, and after that, it just seemed a little off from the content.
It was neat to see some of the illustrations, since I listened to the audio version and did not get any of those while I was experiencing the book.

It was a bit eerie sound but I thought well done. I listened to the audio book and it was nice to see all of the art work. It was really well done!

I sort of liked the narrator's voice but the illustration was kind of creepy.

You feel so because of the way the narrator tries to capture the uniqueness of the voices of the various characters. As for me, I think the narrator did a very good job. He did not just read the book aloud, he did tell the story as the author has intended.

I agree with everyone. The narrator's voice is definitely chilling. I think that the voice with the images give the book a mysterious overtone. I can see how this would be appealing to young readers.

I agree with your opinion. The narrator's voice was creepy and the overall video was creepy. I think that the YouTube trailer does not attract readers to the book, and it is poorly designed.

I didn't mind the voice, but I'd have liked the the video to be shorter. The overview should have been shorter for the trailer. However, the illustrations were great!
