Yes, it was a moment of shock and relief that the antagonist finally showed his hand...I say this despite the ruthlessness Valerian exhibited to recrify that discovery.
Ruthless is an understatement! And did you intend that hand pun again?! Hehe

The battle at the end was very exciting. I enjoyed the triumphant moment when everything came together.
I also liked when the False King got what was coming to him.
It was a good way to get rid of a major problem looming in the shadows of this book

Pellucid did a good job at toeing up all the loose ends! I just didnt expect the false king to show up and found it a little out of place :eusa-think:
The book ended with all the major antagonists being removed , and with a promising hint to more adventures.
Yes I reallythink their will be a sequel that focuses onOlam Shone.

I had a feeling he wasnt all that good throughout the book, but didnt realize ththe extent of it!
I had not even realized that he could have killed William's father. That was a very dangerous antagonist who his his motives and actions well.
He just seemed too cavalier. I didn't trust him from the beginning when he double crosses the fate dealer he is with to fetch will from the sound realm

I came here to say the same. The author describes the little world in the mirror beautifully. It sounds so peaceful, I imagined it as a garden. And who wouldn't want cake every day? 😂
Yes! But how lonely would it be to live in that safe haven all by yourself? His character fit the bill for a young kid living by himself though. Overly excited at company but socially awkward too

With the False King's end, a favourite scene for me, and Victor Valorian too, the author can explore Olàm Shoné in a sequel as well as Fortis Fortuna as an antagonist.

K loved the scene where Auralius found out his father thought he died, but seen his echo die instead. I hadn't thought there would be an echo for a half echo. It was really plot twisting for me lol

Yes that was interesting! And you would think maybe the echo of a half echo half sound would also be either half echo or very lucient

My favorite scene in the book was where the characters such as William Cleary, his father read the gravestone book that contains one thousand and seven pages! It recounts the people lost in the world of Echoland!

There's just something about libraries, isn't there? As a kid, I longed for my own library that would require it's own large room (which, of course, would need to be in an English manor house to do it justice! LOL)

The journey across the lake, I know it was dark and horrifying, but it also sounded very beautiful and mysterious. I would like to see jewels frozen in a lake. But maybe not in the middle of such danger!

My favorite scene was when Will rode the Unicorns. I don't know why, but that indeed must be exciting.
