Well, like most prince we've heard and read about, so is his character. Will is like his armourbearer.

I didn't like or dislike the Prince. I felt he did was his character was made to do and Will (as the protagonist) did what his character was made to do.

Will was the major character here, the prince didn't do much. He is a prince though.

To be fair, the Prince was native to the land and more familiar with it whereas Will was not. He was far more capable of eluding dangers and more, but I agree that he could have done more to aid Will, overall. There may have been restrictions that were weren't privy to, of course.

I think the Prince could have been an interesting character, he was just underutilized.
