I love everything inspired by the Bible :) I believe this book really helps a reader to understand the Old Testament better and retells all its wonderful stories in an easy to understand way. How great that it also inspires to re-read the Bible!

Actually I'm interested in scriptural and mythical stories. But this one didn't turn me up, because it didn't reflect that spiritual atmosphere.

I wouldn't call myself a religious person, so I doubt that I will read this one. Still, it does seem like it is a good starting point for those who are interested in learning more at a deeper level.

I have not read this book yet. However, it will be great to read this book because though am a Muslim, I grew up among Christians and reading the Bible was not a strange thing for me. I also love history, so I guess that settles it.

I thought the book idea was great! Don't know if I'll get into it, though. I'm doing my own Chronological reading of the Bible(actually listening, through BibleGateway.com), but I'm still in the Old Testament, in the minor and major prophets, which are challenging to understand. But Leah39 is right, the original source of the Old Testament is better to read for the full scope of the stories. On the site I just mentioned, you can view the Bible in more than one translation at a time, i.e. side-by-side. Hope this analysis helps.

As a Christian who has also read the Old Testament stories, I'll be glad to get the author's perspective on the same. So, I'm looking forward to reading this book.

I can't say that I'm particularly interested in religious books. I do like to occasionally read on others' beliefs and their views on deities and the afterlife. It can be really fascinating to see how or where others place and apply their faith. However, I feel like there's an over-saturation of religious pieces being featured on the site opposed to nearly any other genre. I don't harbor the interest to entertain each and every one of them, so I may end up skipping this one.

From the Title, a Christian can already tell it is a Biblical based story and the chronology of events are well aticulated and we'll thought. I love the book.

This is not the type of book that I would enjoy reading. I don't read books with religious content or beliefs. I will pass on reading this book.

I am on the fence about reading this one, mostly because I've recently read a similar book entitled "The Story" published by Zondervan.

I'll add this to my "maybe" list however as I love uplifting religious and inspirational books.

I think this book is a great way to teach anyone interested in understanding the books of the Old Testament. I like the fact that the book attempts to explain the Bible from a more scientific point of view. It is easily understood and does not claim to know the purpose or reasoning behind everything that God did in the Bible. There is nothing I can say that I did not like about it. I would recommend this book to others, for it gives a breakdown of the books of the Old Testament in such a way for all to understand, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

Having the old testament summed up in so plain English makes the book an easy read even for the non-religious lot. I would recommend it to anyone anytime.

Wow! As a Christian, I love books with religious undertones, moreso biblical stories. With the comments above, the book is generally a good read, and invariably a must read for me.

Although I am a Muslim, I found this book very informative and all the time I was looking at how simple it is. Of course I needed to read it with an open mind but This book was an informative read
