Not only are they unnecessary, but they have an implication that it's normal for a woman to be in the situation Cynthia was; almost as if the author was positing that it was modeled after a true story. And while I am sure women get into situations similarly and otherwise, I definitely would not normalize the situation that Cynthia was in by giving out resources as if I were writing a self-help book.
I totally agree with you. In current society I don't know what will heppen to a woman if she ended up in a situation like Cynthia. It should not be normalised. It was merely fictional. Also Cynthia and Sky was very immature. I found it unacceptable.

It was unnecessary. Maybe the author wanted to be helpful and raise awareness. But Cynthia was not a perfect role model for the topic. The way she handled her possible pregnancy, her lack of knowledge about contraception; her lack of care when she spotted blood...everything seemed immaturity. She is not a teenager! It is admirable that Mike had knowledge about these issues but it also indicated that Cynthia and her highly intelligent female team didn't have any knowledge. The funny part is, some of the team members were supposed to be mothers. Is it possible to have a pregnancy without knowing anything about abortion!

It was really strange, I didn’t really see the point personally.

It tends to help the novel to be a self help book .

It was useless information. This fiction, especially with its misogynistic and dumb moments, is not an ideal place to provide sensitive health information.

I was surprised to see it I must say that it wasn't necessary for the book I even skipped it when reading.

I thought the glossary was adequate, but I didn't see the point in including loose ends and a detailed description of the abortion pills and other items.
