I don't think it can really be described as a war. The two sides would both need to know who they are fighting, correct? It was more like cyber sabotage. While it would be a great premise, I think that the author's knowledge and portrayal of the cyber-nerds work was definitely simplistic. However, the whole timing in the book seemed off to me, so perhaps the ease in which they accomplished tasks was really due to an inadequate timeline in the story.

I agree. It was way too easy all the way through. I think of this book as a set-up book and I'm hoping the rest have a bit more depth.

I felt the same. This was about terrorists! There security can't be this weak! Especially the North Korea scene. Who let's an official's son work school projects in a high security computer. I cringed hard.

Yes, at times the ease with which securities were breached and systems hacked it seem to good to be true and instead of being the main plot, as the book title suggests, it felt as a sub-plot.

In my opinion, the "war" was definitely too simplistic... The word "war" connotes a fight with serious casualties on both ends and there was nothing of the sort in this novel. The little hiccup toward the end came a little too late and did not help me feel as if I was reading about anything serious with the plotline.

I think it was too easy. Cynthia was trying to take on a seemingly unrealistic task and she did it with little to no sweat!

This book handled cyber war in a childish way. It was clear that the author hadn't done any research at all. Saying that a private detective agency had technology that was more advanced than the CIA or NSA was laughable.

I thought that this book showed a lack of genuine knowledge about cyberwar or about modern technology. Throwing around sentences like they had more advanced technology than the CIA or NSA was laughable. Discussing a code in a classroom made me question Sky's intelligence. It was already established that the two terrorists who posed as gardeners were taught by Sky. Didn't the amazing intelligent characters suspect there might be some more terrorists in the class?

that’s a great point, I wish there had been more of the book from the perspective of the villain . Anything to make is less two dimensional.

Now that I think about it, you’re right. Do other countries lack detection abilities in their software. Surely two college-age kids can’t bring down things on their own, can they? And, while we’re on the subject, why couldn’t Sky find these things?

Yeah it seemed easy based on how the author described it. However, the availability of the working tools made it seem so.

Honestly this book made it to so easy. Infact this book almost made every thing look so easy. You met a stranger in the next second you guys are in bed
Next you are ending your relationship with your boyfriend then the stranger is becoming a too perfect being .. and so on.
The stories in this book felt so off.

It was very easy at the beginning but at the end it was not easy to me.

Very much so! In these cases you don't just sit behind a computer and know exactly what to do and where to go. If your opponent is someone in cyber war it will take months for you to get in never mind tot he top.

Yeah. I also felt like the cyber war was meant to be too easy. But I can't negate on it as bad course at times in life things just fall in place and you be amazed yourself at how miraculous everything seems.
