Definitely Heather for me. I do want to say I loved all of the women in this book, and they all were so well-rounded and realistic. But Heather is cool as hell.

I have a special love for books that portraits 'the woman strength', I mean haven't we have enough of those that tend to make us appear weak and frail? Louise, Anne and the others demonstrated strength and resilience. I love them

I'm torn between Louise and Myra. Both are playing roles that are bigger than them. Maybe, Louise as she has a lot to do with saving the 'sinking vessel'. I have to give props to Charlie Sheldon for creating and developing such strong and captivating women characters.

Anne's resilience endeared her to me in the story. Louise also was also an unforgettable character.

Louise was definitely my favourite character. Her determination and resilience really shone in this novel and it was very inspiring. She reminded me a lot of my mom in many ways.

Louise stood out for me in this book. She kept her head when most people would have panicked. She got the tug to shore with the rescued boat, and even though her husband didn't survive, she kept on moving. I found that to be a strength of character that really shines. It reminds me of some of the women I've known, some in my own family, that keep on truckin' no matter what happens. Great writing.

Me too! I like how this author writes strong, self-reliant women.

It is hard to choose. I loved the complexity of them all and I think everyone brought something to the story. I do like Sarah if I have to pick one. Everyone need Sarah in their life.

I liked all the women in the book. Louise played a very important role for herself and her husband. In the book, she played a good role for women that would like to make it a man's world of the sailing the sea on a ship and running a business that most women do not.

I loved Anne’s determination to not quit. She reminded me of myself in my current situation. She was also the one who got the second team found, barely holding on herself.
Louise reminds me of my mom, in a way. Despite her own personal tragedy, she got the job done.
Charlie Sheldon did an excellent job showing just how tough a woman can be when faced with the toughest odds. It was one of the reasons I wanted to go on and read his other work.
I really like your reply, Lousie seems like a mother figure.
