I really didn't understand his explanation cause I know he didn't find the literal bones of Jesus I think only he really understands what he found

I think 'finding Jesus bones' had to do with finding revelation Al truths about certain things in the book. As to whether the author achieved this, depends on the reader.

I got the impression that the goal of finding Jesus’ bones was to identify the core of the tenets of Jesus’ teachings. I’m not entirely sure whether the author found this, but I do think that he feels he did and that inspired him to write this book.

I think this is a metaphor for his spiritual awakening. I kind of wonder if the author made this purposely ambiguous so that each reader could use their personal experiences to interpret the symbolic significance behind finding Jesus' bones.

As I stated in an earlier post, I'm naturally wary of writers who set themselves up as enlightenment gurus. When I read in 'Unbound Soul' that a pivotal moment in Richard L.Haight's story is when Jesus comes to him in a dream and asks for help finding his bones, then I find my facial expression starts to resemble that little :shock2: smilie.

I agree. I think the idea of Jesus' bones was metaphorical rather than literal.

I think it’s a metaphor in the same way that his blood and flesh are consumed during communion.

I think that only way to really know God is to trust that His Word is entirely true from beginning to end. If He is the Creator of everything as He states, then He is surely able to easily keep His Word and the meaning of it intact throughout the ages up to our present day. And the ultimate core of the teachings of Jesus is that He is God Himself and without that the rest of what He said and taught really has no depth or meaning.
The only problem with that argument is that there are many different versions of the Bible. Which is the right one?
I’ve seen stories where Cain only sacrificed the stalks of his wheat. Others where he offered the fruits of the ground. Which is true?

Cannot agree more! I faced the same difficulty of grasping the exact meaning behind it.
It can only be a metaphor because Jesus bones aren't there.

That's one of the many concept I couldn't actually grasp in this book. That would not resonate well with the Christian readers.

"Jesus' bones" was used as a metaphor. The author did not mean the real Jesus' bones

If it was indeed Jesus in the dream, then I think He was giving the author an assignment to dig deep into His teachings to find the root of His ministry, for a specific purpose.

I don't think he elaborated on this concept before the book drew to a close. Perhaps it will be more clear to his other books in the series.

Me neither, i do not get what he meant, but i think it is something like a mission for him to find the real meaning of faith
