Depends on your workload and how fast a reader you are. Definitely focusing on your grades is most important, especially freshman year. And you can always go over your reading goal, it's just used to challenge yourself not limit. <3
Thank you so much for your insight. I might try for 30 this year.

I'm glad I could help. That sounds like a very reasonable goal!

I'm hoping for 20 books this year. There's a few longer books that have been sitting on my shelves for a while so I've made it a priority to knock those off this year.

I'm aiming for 75 because I'm trying to slow down my reading a little bit. I read more than 100 last year ...

I’m hoping to reach the goal of 100 books. This won’t include re-reads of course, but first time reads.

Can you believe I’ve never read Fight Club ? It’s on my list this year along with Anna Karenina and a few others!

I love reading so much and have already read four books this year. I think I need to up my reading though if I’m going to make 100! :o

Because I am new here, I'm not sure what kind of goal would be realistic for me to achieve. I don't want to get discouraged by setting the goal too high and missing it by a mile. Having a lot going on in my life and not having as much time to read as I would like, I thought I would start by setting my goal at 12 books. I am already behind in my goal of one book per month but should be able to catch up. Hopefully I will surpass this goal and be able to set a higher goal for next year.

I am aiming for 30 or more this year, but I want to read longer books that I have on my shelves as well, so let's see how it goes :D

I have read 13 so far!

Because I am halfway through the year, my goal is 40 books. I have questions: Do I have to provide a written review of my books somewhere? Should I list them on my bookshelf? Or do we just check back in January?

In previous years, I’ve always made it 50 books, though that never happened. This year, I’ve cut it down to 30 books, and I’m halfway through my goal, thanks to reading a book each week for my creative writing classes. Perhaps, reading here will help me complete the rest of my goal.
