I marked off a historical fiction book with The Chess Garden, by Brooks Hansen, and I rated it a four.

I also highly recommend it, and my more complete thoughts (as complete as I can articulate  ) can be found here.

I've ticked off more books than I thought I would. Already done with 7 of the 18. Now I'm going to have to try to finish all of them for sure. Thanks for this challenge Gravy. :D

I think I'm going to uncheck everything and do it that way too. It will make it much easier to keep track of goals.

I've already done most of the ones I'm interested in. I need to read a sci fi, a historical fiction, and a super old book. I have all of these, guess I need to just choose which ones :)

Hey guys!
I joined the site a week or two ago and have been just scoping the place out. I'm really enjoying all the book recommendations and reviews. I've become moderately obsessed with this reading challenge! I've chosen the books I'm going to read to fit the categories I've chosen and I'm so excited to get out of my comfort zone (never would have chosen to read a romance book.. Blah!)

Some books are a little sketchy in their categories. I've chosen 1984 for my sci-fi/fantasy and The Witches by Stacy Schiff for my non-fiction selection ?. I found a few sites labeling these books in these categories so I went with it.

I just finished The Nest as my 2016 selection. I usually read a lot of mystery/thriller so this was a little different from me. That being said, I loved it. Definite 5/5. The next book I'm reading is Brave New World. I was born in this 80's, so this is a perfect fit for the book 50 yrs before you were born category (originally published in 1932).

Can't wait to get through my list!
