It was too forced with little chemistry. Nevertheless yay! to it since it spiced up the story.

I think the fact that many of their interactions did fall flat added to the tension of the story. Also, their relationship's ups and downs added to the plot, especially once "her" tweets began surfacing.

I thought they weren't so invested in it. I got tired of their indecision and feet dragging. But maybe this did help move the plot forward.

Two characters whose chemistry is defined by how much they can't make it work? I'd love to know where that makes sense. I know the author thought it created tension-- tension they hoped the reader would enjoy, but overcomplicated relations are never a yay. Mostly tedious unfortunately.
