The cover of the book instilled a feeling of terror in me. I chose not to read the book because my mind is imaginative enough on its own.

Bianka Walter wrote: 01 Dec 2018, 01:23 I was a big fan of the Scream movie franchise and was surprised to see that RJ Torbert coined the term 'Ghost Face'. So it was interesting to me that he didn't revolve the entire book around the iconic face of horror.
I must say, the face on the cover made me want to read the book right away.
How did it influence your decision to read/not read the book?
I watched the movie SCREAM when I was a child. I wasn't that scared, and I liked the intrigue. The ghost face concept adopted by the author made me want to read the book. At first, I thought it was related to the movie. But no, it has it's own uniqueness.

I find the cover to be a bit creepy. though not a fan of horror novels would have given a try if the cover had a more relaxing illustration.

I feel the cover gets me interested but I’d agree it is a rip off from scream the movies. I enjoy the movies though and so to see the scream mask on a book cover gets me excited!

The cover is not very appealing especially considering the premise of the book! It would definitely discourage me from reading the book and it's not just the fact that it is a ghost face. Despite what the famous quote says, the cover is the first impression of the book and most, if not all people do judge the book by it's cover.

Honestly I have my moods for paranormal books so the moment I saw the cover I have to admit It was like a switch turn on for the scary vibe.... it was a great choice tho ... keeps me on edge for a paranormal book

The cover hooked me and made me want to read it. I know you can't judge a book by it's cover, but sometimes it helps at least intrigue you enough to pick it up and read it.

The cover put me off and I had actually written the book off. Were it not for the review, this book would not be in my library.

I definitely would have assumed from the cover that the book is more directly related to the scream franchise which probably would not be a personal draw for me. However, finding out what the book is actually about increases my desire to read it.
