The desire to read the second book is an act of approval for the first book.

This book was very heavy on historical references. I found myself getting lost and bored in all of the Roman political maneuvering. Perhaps if there was the slightest bit of closure at the end of the first book, I would consider reading the second installment. With the way this book ended, I feel like picking up book two will then require you to read book three...

I have some moderate curiosity about what happens next, but I just was not drawn into the book very well. I found it difficult to finish, and I typically love fantasy books with a strong historical fiction element.

The bits of the second book that I read were good, but still not enough to make me really want to buy and read the second.

I agree with you on this. I'm just not interested enough to put the time into a sequel. I'm pretty sure it won't end at book two...

There were questions left unanswered and I would love to know how the story ends. Yes, I look forward to reading the second book.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first and I'm really looking forward to reading the second. I was thrilled to see it was a Book of the Day, especially since they had an Amazon giveaway and I got a copy for free!

In general I prefer stand alone books, so reading this knowing it was going to be part of a series pushed me to the edge of my patience, so no I don’t think I’ll be reading the next book.

I like to power through and read sequels even if I didn't particularly like the first one. Apollo's Raven seems like I might enjoy it and therefore enjoy any subsequent books.

I found the first book to be informative apart from being interesting to me. I would like to read the next book also in the series.

I definitely will be. Not only because I found the love story dramatic, but because there are too many questions left unanswered for me. Depending on how the second book reads depends on how much farther I will go.
