Possibly as a consequence of my ADHD, I have a lot of difficulty sitting down and reading books, and particularly multiple books in one series. It takes me a good deal of thought to decide if I’ll read the second or not, and I think that might be the case here. Just as likely though, I’ll forget I was considering it and never touch the second book for that reason. We shall see.

I was imagining some scene where she is challenging the arrogant Roman soldiers to fights and totally kicking their butts. She seemed to be described as quite the warrior, so this would fit into how the author set up her character.

I can definitely imagine that which is why I'd love to get a chapter from her point of view.

I think I will read the second book. I love the characters and the situations. Also, I want to read it because I had so much trouble understanding that ending that I'm hoping the second book will shed light on it.

I am very anxiously awaiting the second book. I feel like the first book in a series is usually the best book and the following books are usually not as good. But I am excited for this one because there is so much more to tell and I feel like it's going to be another amazing story.

I havent decided. Normally i wont read a book unless i know that i really love it. It does bother me to read one book in the series and not the whole series. Its an unfinished plot so usually i do read the following books in any series.

Though I would like to know what happens with Catrin & Marcellus, this book is a chore to get through & the only reason I continue to read was because I thought it would be better towards the end. I don’t really like the writing style of the author.

I thought it would increase my suspense but sadly it didn't. I didn't enjoy this read to my heart's content therefore, I won't be reading this further.

I'm with you. I would like to see how this story ends, but I just can't justifying spending more time on a series with an introductory book that I just can't get into. I actually had to stop and read another book before I could finish this one.

I haven't read the first book, but I am the type of person who likes to read all the books in a series. I read the first one, it is a guarantee I will end up picking up the next one.

I liked the book but not enough to want to read the second in the series. I didn’t connect enough with the characters to want to read more about them.

Yes, I would. This book is so very interesting that I won't hesitate to pick up Book 2 - should it (hopefully) come out soon.
