I think it would make a great movie. I don't see any issue with them speaking in English (or any other language) for the purposes of making a film. The story would more than make up for the slight loss of realism in my opinion.

I think it could or even a mini-series. I think it would be interesting to hear the different languages. I enjoy reading subtitles and feel that it would enhance it.

If the language problem is solved than it can be adapted into a great movie.

Anymore, I'm wary of any book turned into film. Most of the time, I'm pretty disappointed by the movie version. Books have too much detail to fit into 1.5-2 hours. I do think, though, that instead of turning books into movies, they should start doing more mini-series. They are able to fit much more detail into mini-series, and with Netflix, Hulu, and Prime having their original series, there are a ton of options, rather than just focusing on turning things into movies.

I feel as though there is a lot added into this book--the multiple conflicts--that might cause a bit of an issue with film making. Time constraints are terrible when it comes to adaptation.

I feel that most films tend to ignore native language when the screenplays are written, so I don't see this being much of an issue. While I don't think Apollo's Raven would be a huge blockbuster like The Hunger Games, I certainly could see this story as a mini-series on Netflix.

It can be adapted into a movie. The language is never a barrier. If the story is good, which this surely is, then it is just a bonus for the movie to be great. The captions can help while the characters talk in the native language. It would be nice to see this book turned into a movie.

It would take a great director to turn this into a movie. If LOTR and The Hobbit can be made into movies with their languages preserved, then so can this one. I would definitely watch it if it were made into a movie.

It is a magnificent book for being adapted as a movie! Besides the language, I see nothing that can terminate the possibilities for it being adapted into a movie!

Any book can adapt to the Big Screen. The movie people change the story to fit their needs. If you have read The Last Ship by William Brinkly and watched the mini-series you might wonder how the reviewers said the book inspired the series. The name of the ship the U.S.S Nathan James might be the only tie to the novel.

I don't think of language being any barrier to being adapted into a movie. A lot of movies depicting other cultures and languages have been shot in english.

I've been picturing it in my head as an animated feature film, rather than live action.
But not Disney animation, more like anime animation or Rankin-Bass, etc.

I can easily envision this as a movie- with Charlize Theron as Catrin and Bradley Cooper as Marcellus. Yes, let the filming begin.

It could definitely be made into a movie, or several. The bits about when she melds her mind with the raven were difficult to understand and would be much better represented visually!
