Sliver is a classic example of an anti-hero. Through Kelly's eyes, we learn about the supercorporations, and we're led to believe that these supercorporations developed a dystopian oligarchal nation. A classic hero would attempt to dismantle these supercorporations, but Sliver is not only apathetic about the supercorporations, he actively helps one.

No Silver is not an anti-hero. All his actions are justified. He did what he felt right and so I believe that he is not an anti-hero.

He wasn't an anti hero because all his actions were justified.

I think his actions of wanting to kill Ancarn were justified. I also feel that his job for World, Inc. as an assassin was also justified. I don't think that Sliver realized that things could be different. Once he did, he changed his ways, and I think that makes him a hero in the end. After all, he did save the shredders and Kelly.

I don’t think he’s any kind of person to be emulated. He is just doing his job, however distasteful it may be. From what I can see, he knows what would be the right thing to do, but he continues to let his job requirements override that.

I don't think it will be very fair to categorically call Agent Silva an anti-hero; chap was doing what he was made to believe was right. Just like one commentator pointed out, I think he was am atypical hero instead.
