They're in Saltmist. Just took down the three guards.

There are so many things that are catching my attention. I'm not sure what is going on with Toby, but I'm pretty sure we haven't had the final revelation in regards to her.

It was noted that magical signatures are connected to family lines. I feel like this is going to play a big part in future.

That part was exciting.

The magical signatures as an interesting addition to her list of talents.

Toby's daughter is a brat. Grow-up already! I dislike her.

I did finally finish this. I completely agree about Gillian.

I love Dianda so much.
Peter is a violent little thing!
Luigaed has to stay on Toby's good side so she can restore the rest of the Roane (I'm unfortunately suspicious of everyone, so I'm trying to see who can afford to offend Toby, and when). Also, Toby made an interesting point about how Gillian being one of them made it possible... Fate/prophecy or machinations? (The least fun game.) Or Toby underestimating her own abilities?
I'm also trying to figure out how Eira could have influenced everyone she's supposedly Influenced while she's elf-shot... (I can see how she could, but I can't see why she'd keep influencing the sea fae; the nameless queen, Dianda's brother.)

I'm also trying to remember if we have any proof that The Luigaed can't lie. Like, other than her word (which isn't worth much if she can lie). It's the worst catch-22!

I'm ready to start the next one when you are. :tiphat:

Ditto to all your points!

I am in the middle of another book and probably will finish it in a couple of days. You can go ahead and I will catch up with you. :)

Ok, I am over 100 pages as well (started chapter 9). Where are you in the book? What did you think of Patric? I thought he should have minded his own business! It is about time Toby should be looking for Simon, though.

I also start to dislike Sylvester and Lona. They treat Toby very badly and for no good reason.

Oh yeah, Sylvester and Luna are getting on my last nerve.

I'm just starting chapter 14.

At last! I am finished with the main book. (Still working on the short story.)

Oh yeah, lots of things to think about!

I have some theories:

I think that we've seen more firstborn that we aren't aware are firstborn. This seems to be pretty much a given, in my opinion, considering how many seem to keep showing up (and often after being disguised).

Not really sure who they are, but I'm pretty sure that Marcia is one (and am pretty sure that she's the Tylwyth Teg firstborn: blond, blue eyed, and the ointment could be her (much better) version of Walter's glasses). She also always has that broom (yarrow?).

I think there is a CHANCE that Toby may actually be Oberon's daughter. He was drawn to her, even before Annwn, and thought she was Janet. Who's to say the same wouldn't have happened with Amandine? (His reaction to Toby basically solidified this theory for me, but I've been thinking it for awhile).
Would that make her a firstborn, seeing as he was playing human at the time? Who knows! But it's interesting to ponder at the very least.

I've also begun to think that Cliff may not be entirely "human". My only explanation for this is just an odd feeling (and the fact that nobody seems to be that uncomplicated). Could be completely bogus.

Okay. I think that's everything (at least for the moment).

Do you want to read the latest one before moving on to Seasonal Fears? Or go ahead with When Sorrows Come?

Hmm, Marcia may be a firstborn as well. Cliff, I am not sure.

I am not sure that Toby is Oberon's daughter, though. Oberon may was drawn to her because she is his grandchild.

Amandine is Oberon's daughter and Toby's mother. Do you think Amandine had relationships with her own father? According to that theory, he is both the father and the grandfather of Toby. I don't think the author will go that far, but time will tell. :eusa-think:

We can finish the last one and then move to When Sorrows Come. I will probably start it in a couple of days (once I finish my current book), but you can go ahead and start it. :)

I had (have) that problem with it as well (eww). I just can't wrap my head around the fact that she's not really any weaker than Amandine. Also! In the last short story, it's said that only Oberon was ever able to bring anyone back from the dead. Which Toby seems to do quite often.
And there is at least one instance of siblings producing offspring (Blind Michael and Acacia are half siblings), so... who knows? Faery seems to work much differently.
I mean, maybe she's actually one of the queens. I just really don't think she's what we've been led to believe.
(While we have nothing concrete saying it, I have been assuming that Oberon had to be different people throughout his self-imposed exile. Mainly because I can't see Officer Thornton just continuing as he was for 500 years. Again, could be completely wrong.)
