Why doesn't Toni have abilities? Is it a safety reason?

The book teaches children that they can be superheroes by being a good person. I think if he was given super powers it would of ruined the theme of the book.

I think Toni being a superhero is in his imagination because that is his definition on what being a hero is. It didn't matter to him if doesn't any powers because for him what he's doing is enough to be a superhero.

Toni did not have superhero abilities because the author does not want to include violence in the book. Since , this book is a children's book the author polished Toni's character in a suttle way rather than attacking villians.
