Child abuse has been rampant these days which may leave an indelible mark on children who are victims. This is because children tend to remember major events that happened in their childhood days even when they come of age.

It is obvious abuse on a child affect them and the author did a great job in showing just that, although every child behaviour differs, but the effects are always there.

I think the author used each child to show the way abuse will affect each individual.

I feel the author has given an honest review of effects of abuse on children. This is a book and a story I can relate to and I believe children and even other human beings have different ways of handling abuse. Although I cannot say wetting the bed was an effect of child abuse but it was evident that the child must have been mentally affected by what was happening at home. It could also be a normal biological process since some children wet the bed until they are 15.

I also think the author did a perfect job in description of the effects of abuse though effects vary depending on the age, type of Abuse and so much more. But this does represent well the different situations

I also believe the author honestly showed the emotional effects of abuse. My day job allows me to interact with different kinds of people who suffered different forms of abuse. Children have an unusual way of showing signs of abuse.

When people are abused they become emotionally unstable. This often leaves a long term trauma on the abused. We cannot imagine the depth of trauma it will leave on a child. Though this can be treated psychologically.

With the existence of variations in circumstances, type of abuse, and personalities in life, there can't be a marking scheme for accurate outcomes. I feel like the author totally made sense to me regarding the portrayal of the abuse. The outcomes were understandable.

Yes, the author did a good job in portraying the effect of abuse
on the children by narrating the various ill-effects that the abuse
had on the children. I wish none of this happens to anyone in the
society.

Yeah, I think she did give an honest portrayal of the effects of abuse on children but it doesn't mean that those are the only effects that can result from abuse, those were just the effects on the children in this book. Different children across the world go through different emotional and mental challenges as a result of abuse, depending on their personalities and in which way they were abused.

Mr. Benji,
The abuse of children is a very serious offense but unfortunately, not so unusual or uncommon.

The effects of abuse on a child will for sure depend on many factors. I think some will suffer the effects for longer while others may only live to suffer under the effects for a short time. However, whether a child is easily hurt or not does not imply that an abuse on a child will be treated more lightly.

I think the breadth of issues displayed by the children portrayed the different ways childhood trauma and abuse can present itself. But I also think the depth into which the author went on the individual issues the children faced also demonstrated a realistic example of the effects of childhood abuse.

The author does give an accurate portrayal of effects of abuse on children. It's just a slight glance because effects to very much which much depends on children .I.e personality, family environment etc.

I think I can say that I honestly believe the author portrayed the kids actions perfectly to simulate how kids would actually grow up in this type of environment. While every kid is different and may show various behaviors from being abused, the ones that the author gave the kids makes the setting and situation they're in seem all the more real and scary.
