No, that is cause fly fishing is what brought these women together and it also brought about their little getaways where they could connect more.

I think the book was mainly about friendship, the fly fishers wasn't really necessary.

Fly fishing was the best fit for this book, and it was the connecting line between the sisters. Also, the author intended to limit the ideology that flies fishing is a masculine activity.

Maybe, although i think it was a nice factor. i think the writer would have needed something else to gather them.

I think no. Because without it the friends gang wouldn't meet each other. Or atleast there needs to be something that would tie these group together.

Partially. The author knew that his readers will relate to something dynamic when it comes to fly fishing

Yes the story would have worked well without fly-fishing but since the author practices fly-fishing I understand why it had to be fly-fishing.

I believe that it could be changed, but it must still be there. Their shared interest should be the thing that ties them all together. However, fly fishing is a fascinating activity, which, in my opinion, is what drew so many people to the book.

I agree that it could have been almost any sport that gets people out of doors. Camping, kayaking, horseback riding, even bird watching.

I don’t know what alternative ways they could have met of had fun and connected through but a lot of things came from their fly fishing experiences and it gave the book a certain feel

The story would have worked well without fly fishing because there must be a common attraction among the women. it could be a different skill, but the most important thing is that there was a bond of friendship. Those who have the same orientation in life will always find each other as nothing is just considered a coincident. So no matter the skills the story would still work well.

Their deep relationship and unification were likely facilitated by the particulars of fly fishing, which may also be the secret to it. In comparison to a less exclusive club with a lower entry barrier, some clubs' exclusivity fosters closer bonds.

I think it will go well with any consideration as long as it's pointing to an exact direction.
