No, not at all. This was the biggest shocker in the story.

Not at all, i could expect her husband to be killed, and was hoping for that not to happen, but definitely not her.

I realised that something drastic was about to happen but I didn't expect the death. It blindsided me.

I didn't foresee Amanda's death. The book was so well written I found it totally immersive and was beyond sad when Amanda died I felt I had lost friend too!

It was unforeseen, wasn't expecting it would be Amanda, it was sad to see her children and husband facing such misery at young age.

Amanda's death was completely unexpected. It was a very sad part of the book.
I was just preparing myself to face Veronica's death, when Bam!-Amanda dies.

Wow! this is a very soul rendering question. I never expected anyone to die. However, my conviction tilted towards the death of Veronica as this was glaring and she was sending her last word to her husband. Lo and behold, Amanda death struck me and I practically stopped reading the book as i found it hard to continue. In life at times, hasty decisions takes one to where they least expected. I feel for her husband and young children.

Although she appeared to be the final person to pass away, Amanda's death came as a complete shock. One of the youngest women with young children, her husband had recently returned from the war. The manner things happened made it extremely depressing and distressing to read that.
