Brimstone’s Love Interest (Spoilers)

Post by Christina Rose »

When team Crimson is reunited later in the novel, Brimstone and Heat develop a little bit of a romance. What are your feelings about this?
Personally, I think it was bound to happen. There were instances earlier in the novel when Brimstone showed such care for Heat. I’m definitely in favor of these two moving forward with their relationship. Even though it will surely never be easy for the two, I feel like it is highly unlikely they will find a stronger connection with anyone else. I hope their young love has room to flourish.

I'm also rooting for Brimstone and Heat. They seem compatible and I don't think either of them would find a better match. I think they also get along because of their distinct capabilities. Heat is a demon with too much of one element while Brimstone in the beginning has none.

I even made up a 'ship' name for them - HeatStone! They definitely belong together, there was a lot of chemistry between them.

He can also resist her element and help bring her back from it, so the danger factor is significantly lower for him than it would be if she were to meet someone else. I agree with you on their compatibility.

That’s great! I love it! 🙃 I agree, there was a lot of chemistry even in the beginning.

I love that these two have formed a romanic bond! It is not out of place, like some romances in books. I expected it to happen, and hope it flourishes as much as it can in that situation. Maggie and Glenn managed to fall in love during a zombie Apocalypse, so Brimstone and Heat can make it work. Hopefully without Brimstone suffering Glenn's demise, of course.

Brimstone and Heat developed? That is very much like Harry Potter and Hermione at the start. And if Heat ends up with their other teammates, then, that will definitely brand Rose as just a copycat.

Honestly, I didn’t see as much of a resemblance to the Harry Potter books as others did. Outside of the characters being young and them attending a school to learn to handle their magic properly, I didn’t see as many similarities as were mentioned in some other reviews.

I hope they do end up together. It feels like they are practically made for each other. Looking forward to seeing how their relationship progresses in the sequel.

I am referring to Brimstone and Heat. I do hope they do not end up like Harry and Hermione, or else that will be copying. lol

I felt it was bound to happen. The author explored their friendship, but I really want to see how their relationship works out in the next book(s).

I do, too, and I have to admit that I am rooting for them. :)

HeatStone is amazing! And I agree, it was definitely bound to happen. It was a wild ride of a book and anyone who went from worst-mage-ever to stood-up-to-ridiculous-fire to everything else needs someone to stand with him :D

Harry and Hermione weren't love interests. At least not in the books, I've not seen the movies.
