But also a thought comes to me. What if this man wanted to commit suicide, yet he didn't want it to appear as so? Would the theme for bravery count? I would beg for your indulgence.

Interesting point which I hadn’t thought of before. The book does highlight the fact that life isn’t fair and some people are just luckier. I think inequality in the kingdom with the different magical groups is another theme I would like to see explored more in the next book.

Loyalty is definitely a prominent theme and an admirable quality for the characters to exhibit.JadeK wrote: ↑20 Dec 2017, 12:54 While there were many themes throughout the story I think the biggest one was loyalty. You see so many moments where these characters have unfaltering loyalty to each other. I think this can be admired as the reader and makes you fall in love with the characters that much more for it.
