In my mind, a story that suddenly is awash with too many sex scenes means that the author did not know what the plot should do. So they just drop in a lot of things they think the reader will be interested in.

Although, I wonder if there is a deep meaning/reason for the numerous sex scenes (that embellishes the main story itself) that the author intended to relate to readers but has gotten lost.

I did the same thing. I read through I think the first 3 or so, then after that I just skimmed the others. They were all basically the same to me and didn't seem to add much to the story or the characters.
