I already reviewed this, but I gave it 1 out of 4 stars, and would have given 0 if it were possible. The biggest problem for me was the writing itself. It was all tell and no show, and the dialog was so stilted it could have supported a tree house.

I have not read this book yet, but based on the reviews I do not think I would want to. It seems like this author thinks that in the future that we are just going to be like wild animals and want to have sex all day with anyone we see but I could be wrong.

The sex scenes actually take place in our present, 2015 or so.

I don't know if that helps at all, but I still don't really recommend the book.

That does help a lot of people do not recommend this book so that is clear enough for me. Thanks for your review

Review of Escape from the 30th Century by Mark Kingston Levin
Our heroine captain Jennifer Heroes and her second-in-command, commander Kylie Brown, along with 50 volunteers and scientist, collectively named the secret society, start out in the 30th century being pursued by syndo's, an engineered race of people created in the 27th century to help tere-form and populate mars.
Their destination is an island in the south pacific, to be more precise a secret base under the island with a time machine in it.
Their mission is to return to the 27th century and infect the original syndo's with a virus that will provide them with a moral compass, something the original engineer’s neglected to include.
After arriving at the secret base, all the members of the secret society are safely transported back to the 27th century but commander captaithe ennifer heroes decides to abandon her teams and returns to 2015. All of this happens in the first chapter.
Jennifer finds herself on a deserted irradiated island, after spending three months alone she’s rescued by a group of scientists. Jennifer being what’s known as a natural in the 30th century, because in the 30th century all humans are augmented to a certain degree she has nanites that heal her and makes her unnatualy strong in her blood.
Jennifer finds herself in one adventure after another throughout most of the middle of the book. Making friends and finding out that she is actually an heiress to a fortune. Or atleast looks like the heiress lost at sea with her parents. She uses her newfound wealth to help people she meets along the way.
The middle of the book is filled with unrealistic sexual encounters, more pornagraphic than natural.
If someone is interested in the south pacific islands, there is a great deal of history in this book that is quite useful, entertaining and informative.
Our heroine does redeem herself somewhat in the end of the book, as she’s able to find a way to bring her teams back to the 30th century.
One feels as they’re reading this book that the scenes are not anchored well and they don’t flow well from one to another, there seemed like pieces of story line missing tieing things together. I found I needed to re-read again and again.
I feel, a good book is hard to put down, but I had no trouble putting this book down, except for the beginning and end.
I rate this book 2 out of 4 stars I would love to give this book a 4 but alas it has many error’s as well as some I feel stguctural error’s, I must also comment that I believe this is a first effort by this author so I may be too hard on him.
I found typographical errors on these pages 142, 154, 189, 222, 229, 272, 287, 310, 312.

I give this book 3 out for 4 stars. I loved seeing Anne's parenting. I see everyone being disturbed by the sexual content but i think it adds a personal feel to the story and I didn't mind it. Overall I enjoyed it.

I would rate this book 3 out of 4.The setting in which the book took place was pretty amazing. I was not a huge fan of the sexual content as it then seemed to bring the book from being for teens to being for adults. If the sexual scenes were omitted, the book would still be great. I would recommend this book to others, but only those that are comfortable with graphic sex scenes.

This is my biggest pet peeve with newer writers, or poor writers. I cannot stand being just told the story instead of seeing it unfold.

Yeah I don't think I'm going to read it.

Yeah, probably. It's a better fit.
Yes, for that genre I think it is good fit.
I suppose it’s better catagorized as such, but I’m still hoping for more actual science fiction in the next book.
Instead of hoping for something different, there are plenty of really great science fiction books that you could read.

Jeniffer did the right thing in abandoning his team, for her sake and for her to find her inner peace and a place that where she can call home. This novel is highly recommended for all, so inspiring and exiting to read.

Well, this book is a stretch of the imagination into what female thoughts or experiences should be on a given journey. Fiction or not, is best to take on our own experiences instead of relying of generalized portrayals of what could or should have been in this “escape”.

I haven’t finished this book and don’t think I’m going to. This isn’t a genre that I especially enjoy, and all the sex scenes are not really believable.

I just purchased this book and I am really excited to read it! I love SciFy, but I also tend to side-eye time travel a bit. It can be difficult to execute well. I also noticed that Amazon said that there was explicit content in this book. I don't mind it, but I just wanted to see if anyone would be willing to tell me if it was an overwhelming amount or not. I'm not really in this for a smutty romance novel.
