I was disappointed but at the same time hopeful that surely they were going to find another way to prove their theory

It was a heartbreaking scene, It took me some time to realize that just really happened and it was not a dream or a vision.

I really wanted the atlatl to make it it's way to an institution that could protect and study it. It was a devastating loss akin to losing a character. At least there is still that tiny piece remaining and the test results from the sliver of material.

I think that was the worst thing anyone can face they came all the way to just save the park and save the atlatl but it destroyed.

I was upset when the atlatl was destroyed. I kept hoping there was some way Sarah could go back into her "story life" and somehow change where it was.

Personally I was hurt and felt like there's no more hope in saving the park.

I felt like it was both a major loss of an important piece of their culture, but that its destruction also signalled an erasure of their hope when fighting to save the park. It was one of the most touching moments in Strong Heart.

I felt shocked and terrified at the callousness of Buckhorn's men on destroying the atlatl. I kept hoping for some miracle..something to happen that would bring back the atlatl in it's original form and help them save the park.

I felt terrible about the atlatl. That was the central artifact in the story. In a way, the whole story revolved around that thrower. And then it got destroyed!!!

That scene was a bit upsetting and heartbreaking. I went blank for a while.
