Never mind but the truth is that it is never going to work as a movie. No feelings and subscripts

Thats very true, anything in the right hands can become something extraordinary. I love adventure stories, so this could really be something.

I think this could be a good movie. The scenery would be exquisite.

I love adaptations, but the idea of a book I really like getting turned into a movie makes me a little scared. My expectations will be too high and then when I see the movie I'll be disappointed. It would be like the Mortal Instruments all over again.

I could really see this as a film. From the beautiful landscapes to the flashbacks.

Honestly, I think it would be better on screen than it was as a book. I think a lot of the excess stuff - like the detailed nautical voyages - coudl be trimmed down and be more exciting to see rather than hear. Basically, I think they would be able to do a good job of cutting out the fluff and bringing the vivid words to life.

Of course, with the right cast, director and a studio that honours the book .

Oooh I'm so interested in the idea of a film adaptation now having read your comments. I love the idea of flashbacks to help with editing. As long as they're not overused I feel like they work seamlessly in so many films. I wonder where they would shoot this to capture the scenery in the most accurate light?

Honestly I think this is a really potential book... Some books shine better just being books while others make exotic movies...This book I believe is good as it is but a movie may even compliment it and make it excel to new heights! This would be a great adventure movie, where pages come to LIFE! :techie-reference: :techie-reference: :tiphat:

I believe this series is made for film. The way it is written along with a tangible setting, tribe, and history make it a top candidate. Native tribal members of the area should be cast for the films, as it is just and will work to tell the best story possible. Native communities have been cast in several films and it really helped the story to be told realistically and have Native ownership. It is time for mainstream entertainment to have a Native touch to it. After all, we all are a part of the American story.

I don't think this story is for the current generation. Therefore, it might not attract a large audience. Nevertheless, for the love of mystic adventure, I would definitely love to watch a movie based on the character of Sarah, especially Strong Heart.
